Kodak robbed of silver

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/...0338/1002/NEWS

Eastman Kodak Co. officials are reviewing the company's safety and security operations after Kodak experienced its first theft of silver since the company was founded in 1892. :shocked_ma:

Hmmm...Maybe us Butla Hatas are wrong in this case...

Many of his other claims are a bit ridiculous though.

Ouch, I may have to change my signature line or else I'll have to sell too soon.

I see now. The police are the reason for the recent silver shortage!

The coppers have disrupted the supply chain by busting the suppliers :shocked_ma:.
Be careful SLV janitorial crew, we can't handle too many more disruptions.

Re: Kodak robbed of silver

Kodak keeps silver in 425 pound bars? That's 193 kilos! 6,204 troy ounces. I thought 1,000 ounce bars were standard in industry.
Why would they have it in such unwieldy form? To make it
difficult to steal maybe? These guys seemed to have no problem
walking away with it!

At $17 that's over $105k per bar. I'll take 2 please.

Probably because that's the quantity needed per batch of product. If a recipe calls for a quarter pound of butter, I buy the pack of 4 sticks, instead of cutting up a pound myself ... for convenience.

Easy Tracking - "Hey mister refiner/jeweler/etc, you ever see a bar like this?" If they have, the paper trail is there.

Maybe, but it could have been ordered by some desperate people in need of physical. Pool account providers, COMEX or the US Mint for example.
